Breaking Frontiers | Guadeloupe – France
Artwork Title: Breaking Frontiers
Context: The mural pays tribute to Guadeloupe Airport, inaugurated in 1953 and originally called Pointe-à-Pitre Le Raizet. For me, traveling beyond our usual surroundings opens the mind to new experiences, new opportunities, and new ways of understanding the world, while also connecting us with the realities of many other people who build lives different from our own, thereby fostering tolerance and understanding. Travel broadens horizons, and that is why the mural includes not only the airplane, but also a compass rose, symbolizing the different paths we can take in our lives when we allow ourselves to explore beyond our environment.
