To close this 2023 I have decided to release a limited edition of a 280 pieces puzzle, for this I have created a mural specifically designed for this, which is a summary of everything that has been this year for me.

I started the design process in October, first choosing the number of pieces it would be composed of and the final size and, based on that, looking for a wall that would fit the format allowing me to add elements such as the floor and the sky to complete the image and make it easier to assemble if I started with the exterior pieces.

It was clear to me that I wanted to use several colors as well as a face, object and letters so that the image would be as complete as possible, the elements would be recognizable and once mounted, it would be a visually attractive piece for those who wanted to keep it that way.

The mural was painted in November, it took me 3 days to finish it and one additional day to get a photo. as clean as possible; even so, some post-production was necessary to remove some reflections and color changes due to the position of the sun and the shadows of the nearby trees. When I started with the tests and after making sure of the reproduction quality of the puzzle, I began the search for a company that would make the box to measure and fully customized, this was perhaps one of the steps that took the longest time since it was difficult to find a solution that would fit what I wanted, a box with lid and full color printing in an order of a few units. The company that manufactured the puzzle had the option of a generic lid box with the image on the top by means of a sticker, which I felt would detract from the final product. After a lot of searching I did not find exactly what I was looking for so in the end I opted for a self-assembled box of a good thickness, quite resistant and with a fully customizable satin finish that, despite multiple complications with the file that had to be changed 3 times due to problems on the supplier’s website, finally arrived just in time for the Christmas season, which was what I had in mind from the beginning.

I know that sometimes when you see the finished products you can not perceive the work behind them, not only is the design and development of products, but also the photography, video and post-production of all audiovisual material to present it and give people who are interested in acquiring it a vision as close and faithful as possible to the product they will receive, in addition to ensure the quality of what I sell and is that sometimes it is worth investing a little more for more resistant and durable materials, trying to keep the final price at a comfortable and affordable price for everyone.

Les comparto algunas imágenes del proceso y las pruebas que realicé y un enlace directo al producto para quienes quieran apoyar este trabajo.
